Oktoberfest or Cannstatter Wasen. Top designer Svenja Jander and the sense of KarloGStyle
Oktoberfest or Cannstatter Wasen. Top designer Svenja Jander and the sense of KarloGStyle melted in this style. Just the right combination for the Oktoberfest or the Cannstatter Wasen (Stuttgart Beer Festival), which begins today, the 25th of September.
Perfect combination between tradition and modern. In this style, both sides come to their best advantage. These typical traditional vest with the high-quality knobs reflects the art of Bavarian costume, the green / white non-iron shirt and the red bow tie bring the coolness of the present.
The red bow tie brings a great contrast to the rest of green tones. The fabric of the vest is not only green, but also has a houndstooth pattern that makes it classy. The green / white shirt is matching with both the jacket and the pants.
Welcome autumn and good bye summer
The blazer out of wool is the perfect complement for the fall. The pockets placed on the top make it original. Svenja knows how to interpret the tradition of Bavarian costumes lovingly and modern. The grey tone of the blazer is very neutral and can be combined very well with many other colors. In the whole style you can feel a touch of nostalgia for just ended summer and foreshadow the cold days. But as I always say, whether cold or hot, go always well styled out of the house, because you never know whom you might bump into. 🙂
With this style you feel comfortable whether in the evening for dining or in the morning for brunch, for instance in Seehaus Kuffler directly in Munich’s English Garden. I love this place with its great view and chilled elegant traditional flair.
These are two of the biggest festivals of the country. Oktoberfest with 6.4 million visitors is bigger than Wasen, which counts about 4 million visitors. Both great, both with sensational atmosphere and both have the beer in the focus. In recent years, the number of visitors with Lederhosen or Dirndl increased very much, so you hardly see somebody without a costume. Especially in the tents. The Pre-Wasen Parties have also risen sharply. This year, Pre-Wasen-Parties were already held in the new H’ugo’s as well as in Cavos.
If you ask me what the difference between these two festivals is, I´d say: the internationality. While the Oktoberfest is very international and the visitors are from many different countries, the Cannstatter Wasen is more regional. Even if the visitors come from all over Germany and a few even from abroad, the number of locals on Cannstatter Wasen is relatively large compared to Oktoberfest. This fact characterizes the festival and makes it unique. It´s great that there are these differences, so one can choose whether to go to the one or to the other, or to both after all. Check!!!
